"From the opening bars of "Across the damn", you get the impression that you may have just unearthed a true gem in the rough. The buzz words at the moment seem to contain the words surf and punk, or noise and pop, and Jeff Koplovitz' Lean Horse Marathon may contain two or three of those words.

Often sounding like a water drenched ghettoblaster playing at full volume on a beach way off in the distance, the lo-fi fuzziness swimming blissfully in the ocean. this is a release which encapsulates what is happening right here, right now.

I will admit that the above paragraph may potentially scare off a few listeners, but those whose appetites are whet from the above will really adore this release. This is not a harsh or heavy release, it has its quiet and slow moments which slot smoothly in with the more upbeat offerings.
